Organic loading
Reducing COD and BOD and addressing pollutants entering the biological treatment stage.
We use BIOFOX to enhance biological wastewater treatment and process accumulated organic matter. We address two related but distinct objectives: treated water quality and the condition of sludge on sludge beds.

Wastewater treatment, activated sludge and dedicated sludge programmes.

A stable biological stage can create opportunities to optimise aeration. Results are assessed together: treated-water quality and electricity consumption.
were switched off after biological stabilisation at a pig-farming facility
dissolved oxygen was maintained under the adjusted aeration regime
See the site experienceAeration adjustments are agreed by the technologist using dissolved oxygen and effluent analyses. Enter actual power consumption, not the sum of nameplate ratings. The calculator uses 365 days and your tariff; it excludes seasonality, penalties and BIOFOX costs.
More than energy savings
Annual savings = power × daily hours × 365 × tariff × reduction fraction. The 2019 analytical note confirms that four of six blowers were stopped; this is a count of units, not a measured percentage of electricity savings.
Section 7.6 of the report for a 27,000 m³/day municipal plant separates introduction, routine dosing and sludge-treatment costs. We follow this approach when costing your programme: product use and costs are related to treatment volume. Historical prices are not presented as a current offer.
Find your facility’s potential.
Start with the process and site data.
The microorganisms and enzymes in BIOFOX contribute to the biological breakdown of organic pollutants. Treatment plants require consideration of the entire wastewater pathway: reception and equalisation, biological treatment, settling and sludge management.
We select dosing points and schedules to suit the treatment configuration. The analytical team reviews incoming wastewater composition, actual loading and activated sludge operating conditions. For sludge beds, we separately consider the volume of accumulated material, layer thickness and incoming fresh sludge.
The original questionnaire and available analyses help identify the limiting factors.
The analytical team will identify dosing points and provide recommendations for your treatment configuration.
