BIOFOX supports biological processing of organic matter in water, sludge, manure and poultry litter. We combine a proprietary formulation, assessment of operating conditions and technical support.
Naturally occurring microorganisms, organic substances and catalysts form a proprietary composition in one product. It is designed to support the breakdown of organic pollutants, including proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
Available organic compounds enter microbial metabolism and contribute to biomass formation. We relate the biological process to each site’s operating conditions.
Enzymes help break complex organic matter into more accessible compounds as part of the biological processing of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
BIOFOX combines enzymes and live probiotic cultures. Under suitable conditions, the cultures release their own enzymes into the material being treated.
The solution is distributed through the treated medium. Dosing points follow the facility’s process layout.
Enzymes break down proteins into peptides and amino acids, starch into sugars, and fats into glycerol and fatty acids.
Microorganisms use the products of hydrolysis for growth and energy. During aerobic treatment, some organic carbon becomes part of the biomass and some is oxidised to CO₂.
At treatment plants, effluent BOD and COD are compared under similar loading conditions. In lagoons, sediment condition and odour intensity are monitored separately.
How much organic matter enters, how inflow varies and what has accumulated in the system.
Oxygen conditions, pH, temperature and contact between the product and treated medium.
Defined sampling points, analyses and operator observations, with separate indicators for water and sludge.
We monitor the product’s microbiological parameters in the laboratory. CFU means colony-forming units, a measure of viable microorganisms. Our analytical team prepares a site-specific application and monitoring programme.
