Programme outcome
2019 · analytical summary dated 1 February 2020
Initial situation
Influent flow of 500–3,000 m³/day, with inlet COD up to 10,500 mg O₂/L. Aeration tanks had unstable oxygen conditions, floating foam and odours. The process included separation, a bioreactor, ultrafiltration and lagoons.
Actions taken
Continuous BIOFOX dosing was established at the equalisation-tank inlet. Aeration, recirculation, excess sludge removal and key-point monitoring were adjusted without changing the treatment configuration.
Application results
Oxygen conditions stabilised and floating foam disappeared. Four of six blowers were switched off while dissolved oxygen remained around 6.5 mg/L. Separated concentrate was composted in two to three weeks, with reduced odours.
Site and period
Inlet and outlet values relate to different process points and sampling dates. The blower configuration is reported without calculating an energy-saving percentage.
